After many years of ongoing practices, one of the false beliefs that have been placed in the nose to breathe, aesthetically beautifying the outside of the nose should be operated. Now in the age of modern nose operations, this approach has been abandoned. There is a very serious connection between the shape of the nose and its function. When the patients who have difficulty in breathing through the nose are examined, in most of them, certain rates of nasal distortion or softness of the cartilage are determined. Septoplasty (intranasal correction) operations, unfortunately, do not resolve these problems, unfortunately, do not reach their goal and often increase as the breathing complaint does not improve. The most appropriate treatment that should be applied to a patient who is forced to breathe through the nose and at the same time requesting the correction of the nasal shape, is to correct all the breathing factors at the same time during the plastic surgery: Conchas (nose meat), should be reduced if they are overgrown, Septum, if the curve is corrected, cartilage structures on the outside of the nose, (these structures, while breathing and working as a cap to adjust the amount of air enters the nose) should be strengthened if they are weak. Along with the mechanical obstructions mentioned above, many patients also have allergic disorders. In order to eliminate these problems, I am starting to take medication before or after the surgery.
